Submission pathway
Important upload warning: Until automated Word-to-PDF conversion is enabled on the hosting environment, every submission must include two required PDFs in the submission system: Full Submission Package PDF and Blinded Reviewer Package PDF. Submissions missing either PDF are returned for completion before editorial screening.
- Scope check: confirm that the work fits veterinary or animal sciences and has a clear scholarly contribution.
- Prepare files: manuscript, separate title page, figures, tables, supplementary files, declarations, and cover letter.
- Submit online: authors create an account, upload files, enter metadata, and confirm declarations in the online portal.
- Editorial screening: completeness, ethics, similarity, language, and fit are assessed before double-blind peer review.
- Peer review: independent experts assess originality, methods, interpretation, and relevance without author identity shown in the review file.
- Decision and revision: authors respond to reviewer and editor comments with tracked revisions and a response letter.
- Production: accepted manuscripts are copyedited, proofed, assigned metadata, and published open access.
